Steel PMI decreased to 45.1% in June

According to the latest data released by China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP) and NBS, the Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) of manufacturing industry was 50.9% in July, 0.1 percentage points lower than that in May. New order index (NOI) was 51.5% in July, 0.2 percentage points lower than that in May. Production index rose by 0.2 points to 51.9% last month. Stock index of raw materials was 48% last month, 0.3 percentage point lower than that in May.         The PMI of steel industry was 45.1% in June, 1 percentage points lower than that in May. New order index was 34.8% in June, 4.6 percentage points lower than that in May. Production index decreased by 0.7 points to 50.7% last month. Stock index of raw materials was 37.1% last month, 2.5 percentage points lower than that in May. The new export order index decreased by 1.6 points to 42.3% in June. The stock index of steel products increased by 3.7 points to 47.1%. The procurement price index of raw materials was 52.9% in June, 10.2 percentage points lower than that in May.
